Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled!

In times of stress and worrying:

“Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me.” —John 14:1-12

“When troubles threaten us, one of the ways our bodies react is by narrowing our focal plane. Our eyes and minds fixate on the problem to the exclusion of everything else. We lose our peripheral vision and the ability to see our way around the problem. The trouble looms large in our consciousness, like a dark cloud blocking overshadowing everything else. In this state of mind, we can actually worry ourselves sick. But every problem comes with an expiration date. That’s the day when we open our eyes, look about us and recognize that Jesus has come back for us. The risen Savior is standing by our side, ready to calm our troubled hearts.” Worry not, no matter what you may think of it, all you have to do is believe and call out to Him. Pain never lasts forever.

The Goodness of the Lord

Speak the Truth Even If Your Voice Shakes

“The word of the LORD came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” “Alas, Sovereign LORD,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.” But the LORD said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the LORD. Then the LORD reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I have put my words in your mouth. See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.” Jeremiah 1:4-9
