The Name Above Every Name

"Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Philippians 2:9-11, NIV5

Eye Has Not Seen

But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory. None of the rulers of this age understood this, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But, as it is written,”What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”~...1 Corinthians 2:7-9

Isaiah 40:28-29

“The LORD is the everlasting God, The Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” - Isaiah 40:28-29

God the Help of Those Who Seek Him

Psalm 121 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.  My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.  He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.  Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.  The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.  The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.  The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.  The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore

He Will Carry Us!

Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.- Psalm 55:22 Care is a burden; it makes the heart stoop ; we must cast it upon God by faith and prayer, commit our way and works to him; let him do as seemeth him good, and we will be satisfied.  To cast our burden upon God, is to rest upon his providence and promise. And if we do so, he will carry us in the arms of his power, as a nurse carries a child; and will strengthen our spirits by his Spirit, so that they shall sustain the trial. He will never suffer the righteous to be moved; to be so shaken by any troubles, as to quit their duty to God, or their comfort in him. He will not suffer them to be utterly cast down. ( Matthew Henry's Commentary )

Don't Sugar Coat It

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. -Galatians 6:1 Help Restore with gentleness when needed to one who has fallen into sin. Don't sugar coat it, just teach it as our Father has shown in His Word.

Psalm 119:105

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. ~Psalm 119:105

WHATEVER happens, REJOICE!

God is good, all the time!

Not One of These Little Ones Should Perish

"Lord Jesus, nothing escapes your watchful gaze and care. May I always walk in the light of your truth and never stray from your loving presence." Matthew 18:12-14 (see also Luke 15:3-10)~ What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go in search of the one that went astray? And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.

He Will Not Leave You!

“Be strong and brave. Don’t be afraid of them and don’t be frightened, because the Lord your God will go with you. He will not leave you or forget you.”— Deuteronomy 31:6

The Promise of Freedom in Christ

"Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed." (John 8:36) When people come in humility to the Lord Jesus Christ and trust in Him for freedom, they will be genuinely liberated. This is what the saving grace of God is all about. In coming to the Lord for His salvation, a person is delivered, rescued, set free. This gracious freedom that we find in Christ has both a "from" and an "unto" aspect. Those who look to Jesus for spiritual liberation are free to leave old things behind. They are also free to enter into corresponding new things. Dear Lord Jesus, You are the one who has truly set me free. I thank You that I am no longer spiritually dead, condemned, headed for hell, and limited to inadequate human resources. I praise You that I am alive in Christ, justified, headed for heaven, and enriched by all the resources of Your grace, Amen!

Our Father Knows Best

1 Corinthians 13:12~Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. This lifetime here, at times, seems immense. So much so, that it makes it so easy to forget the eternity that follows. We are, unfortunately, creatures of the moment, it seems. Whatever makes me feel good now, or meets my immediate need, or brings me satisfaction today becomes the proverbial squeaky wheel that gets the grease. And we--we are so often foolish and frail, falling easily; giving ear to Satan´s lies; forsaking God´s truth and His will for momentary satisfaction. And in that moment we turn from God to take hold of our desires today, we can so easily destroy our tomorrows. We know He knows what´s best for us. We know that if only we will trust Him with today, He will take us into our tomorrows and bless us along the way. He will enable us not to stumble today in the wake of poor and selfish choices

I Will Not Be Shaken!

Psalm 62:2-7 He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. How long will you assault a man? Would all of you throw him down— this leaning wall, this tottering fence? They fully intend to topple him from his lofty place; they take delight in lies. With their mouths they bless, but in their hearts they curse. Selah Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Because of our incredible salvation in Christ, we can depend upon Him in times of turmoil and suffering. He alone is our refuge and strength as our soul silently waits in great expectation for His second coming.

Speak the Truth Even If Your Voice Shakes

“The word of the LORD came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” “Alas, Sovereign LORD,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.” But the LORD said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the LORD. Then the LORD reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I have put my words in your mouth. See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.” Jeremiah 1:4-9

Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled!

In times of stress and worrying:  “Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me.” —John 14:1-12   “When troubles threaten us, one of the ways our bodies react is by narrowing our focal plane. Our eyes and minds fixate on the problem to the exclusion of everything else. We lose our peripheral vision and the ability to see our way around the problem. The trouble looms large in our consciousness, like a dark cloud blocking overshadowing everything else. In this state of mind, we can actually worry ourselves sick. But every problem comes with an expiration date. That’s the day when we open our eyes, look about us and recognize that Jesus has come back for us. The risen Savior is standing by our side, ready to calm our troubled hearts.” Worry not, no matter what you may think of it, all you have to do is believe and call out to Him. Pain never lasts forever.

Depend on God!

"Look unto Me, and be saved, all the ends of the earth – for I am God, and there is none else." Isaiah 45:22 The invitation has gone from his lips, and the command has gone forth that it should be carried to every creature Mark 16:15, and now it pertains to his church to bear the glad news of salvation around the world. God intends that it shall be done, and on his church rests the responsibility of seeing it speedily executed. For I am God - This is a reason why they should look to him to be saved. It is clear that none but the true God can save the soul. No one else but he can pronounce sin forgiven; no one but he can rescue from a deserved hell. No idol, no man, no angel can save; and if, therefore, the sinner is saved, he must come to the true God, and depend on him. That he may thus come, whatever may have been his character, is abundantly proved by this passage. This verse contains truth enough, if properly understood and applied, to save the world; and on

No Other Gospel

There is no modern substitute for the gospel. Thus the gospel is simply the good news that the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, has also become man, that He might die in atonement for the sins of man, and then, after His body was buried for three days, rise again from the grave, forever settling man's sin-debt before a holy God.  Men may talk about a “social gospel,” a “full gospel,” a “new gospel,” or some other gospel, but there is only one gospel, and that is the “everlasting gospel” (Revelation 14:6). No wonder Paul said:  "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed" (Galatians 1:9).  The gospel is still the good news, and there will never be another.

Psalm 34:15

The eyes of the LORD [are] upon the righteous, and his ears [are open] unto their cry. Psalm 34:15 God recognized us. Often times we do not see any sign of God answering our petitions, yet He hears our cries and deals with them specifically in His own way. Though we might not be constantly thinking of God, we are always in His thoughts as He hears our requests for help.

How To Be An Overcomer

The Bible says human nature is not good (Jer. 17:9; Gen. 8:21). Therefore, we are told to consider the old self as dead if we are to make headway as disciples of Jesus Christ (Rom. 6:11). God, in His wisdom, knew that if we were to come out of evil, we would have to have something good to do. So, He has told us in His word to overcome our evil natures by doing good (Rom. 12:21). The Apostle Paul also admonished those who were believers to engage in good deeds because these things are good and profitable (Titus 3:8). Doing good is the way we produce fruit for God, and thus, prove ourselves to be true disciples of Jesus Christ (Titus 3:14). John 15:8 says, "By this is My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples." We see, then, that we glorify the Father when we bear fruit. Good works are represented by the expression "fruit." We can see this by reading Matthew 5:16 - "Let your light shine before men in such a way that

Isaiah 57:15

For this is what the high and lofty One says-- he who lives forever, whose name is holy: "I live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite." Holy and Righteous Father, thank you for loving me and coming to save me in Jesus. Father, I do come humbly to you asking that you fill me with your Spirit in a more powerful way and revive my heart and stir my spirit to work for your glory in my life today. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Don't be afraid!

Joshua 1:9~ Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Psalm 9:10

Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you. Psalm 9:10
