Numbers 23:19

God [is] not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do [it]? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? God is ever worthy of our trust. He is unchanging and uncompromising. His promises will always be kept and He shall always stand true to His word. Every promise shall find fulfilment in you who are Christ's workmanship. Rejoice therefore in Him and be filled!

David Confessing the Lord as His Strength

The LORD is the strength of my life…The LORD is…my strength, in whom I will trust. (Psalm 27:1 and 18:2) Living by grace involves depending upon God to work in our lives. For the greater part of his life, David was an outstanding Old Testament example of such living. This was certainly evident in the way David frequently confessed the Lord as his strength. Everyone in this fallen world needs strength just to deal with the daily responsibilities and challenges of life. When you add the calling and desire of believers to please and honor God, much strength is needed day by day. David confessed the Lord as his strength for living. "The LORD is the strength of my life." How wonderful to know that the Lord is with us to impart His strength in us for every aspect of our lives, whether home, or work, or ministry, or whatever. O Lord, my strength, I need Your strength for daily responsibilities, strength for staying on track with You, strength for periodic battles, strength for weakn

1 Timothy 4:1-2

Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron. Lord God of truth, thank You for lovingly warning of the danger of apostasy. Enlarge my appreciation of such "unpopular" promises. Please help me to cherish the truth of Your word. Give me a heart to know Your word. Sharpen my discernment concerning error. Keep my heart and my message anchored in the truth of Scripture, Amen.

The Most Precious Promise of Shared Life

By which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature…Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law…that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. (2 Peter 1:4 and Galatians 3:13-14) Lord Jesus, thank You for making Your life available to me. What a precious promise that is! Teach me to walk according to Your Spirit, that Your life might be expressed through my life day by day, Amen.

What the Bible says about Meekness

Pride is dangerous. "Pride goes before destruction and haughtiness before a fall." Proverbs 16:18, TLB God sets himself against the proud. "You younger men, follow the leadership of those who are older. And all of you serve each other with humble spirits, for God gives special blessings to those who are humble, but sets Himself against those who are proud. If you will humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, in His good time He will lift you up." I Peter 5:5-6, TLB Those who are proud can fall. "So if you think you are standing, watch out that you do not fall." I Corinthians 10:12, NRSV5

About Fear

How can we handle our fears? By believing God's promise. "Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed. I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with My victorious right hand." Isaiah 41:10, TLB Yes, be bold and strong! Banish fear and doubt! for remember, the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9, TLB "We need have no fear of someone who loves us perfectly; His perfect love for us eliminates all dread of what He might do to us. If we are afraid, it is for fear of what He might do to us, and shows that we are not fully convinced that He really loves us." I John 4:18, TLB The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this

I, even I, am He that comforteth you.

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust. As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you. Casting all your care upon him, for he careth for you. Thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth. Another Comforter ... even the Spirit of truth. The Spirit ... helpeth our infirmities. God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Isa. 51:12. 2 Cor. 1:3,4. Ps. 103:3,14. Isa. 66:13. 1 Pet. 5:7. Ps. 86:15. John 14:16,17. Rom.

Bible Verses on Faith

Here are some bible verse on the subject of faith, taken from the NIV. MAT 7:24 "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 8:13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go! It will be done just as you believed it would." And his servant was healed at that very hour. 9:22 Jesus turned and saw her. "Take heart, daughter," he said, "your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed from that moment. 29 Then he touched their eyes and said, "According to your faith will it be done to you"; 11:6 Blessed is the man who does not fall away on account of me." 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 15:28 Then Jesus answered, "Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted." And her daughter was healed from that very hour. MAR 9:23 "'If you can'?&quo

What the Bible says about Deliverance

He has promised deliverance from fear. "I sought the Lord, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears." Psalm 34:4, NIV Through forgiveness, Christ provides complete deliverance from the penalty of sin. "You were dead in sins, and your sinful desires were not yet cut away. Then He gave you a share in the very life of Christ, for He forgave all your sins, and blotted out the charges proved against you, the list of His commandments, which you had not obeyed. He took this list of sins and destroyed it by nailing it to Christ's cross." Colossians 2:13-14, TLB "And it shall come to pass, that whosoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be delivered, for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord has said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call." Joel 2:325

Psalm 32:8-9

If you are confused about what to do next in your life God will help. "I will instruct you (says the Lord) and guide you along the best pathway for your life; I will advise you and watch your progress. Don't be like a senseless horse or mule that has to have a bit in its mouth to keep it in line!" Psalm 32:8-9, TLB "Then trust the Lord completely; don't ever trust yourself. In everything you do, put God first, and He will direct you and crown your efforts with success. Don't be conceited, sure of your own wisdom. Instead, trust and reverence the Lord, and turn your back on evil; When you do that, then you will be given renewed health and vitality." Proverbs 3:5-8

The Thrill of Victory

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world--our faith. 1 John 5:4 Did you know that this word "victory" is used only six times in the New Testament? The Greek word for victory is "nike" and it means "a conquest" or "means of success." For many of us, the word Nike refers to the mega-sporting enterprise that sells shoes and clothing. Victory has been skewed by society standards to now mean something of extraordinary achievements. But Jesus would come and tell us to just have faith, for through faith we will be victorious. How many of us as Christians today have victory in our lives? How awesome to experience the thrill of victory! But far too often we face the agony of defeat. Jesus did not come to earth, give His life, and leave us His Holy Spirit, just so we could enter heaven. Yes, He came to give us eternal life if we believe in Him, but He wants us to experience heaven on earth—today.

Deuteronomy 30:9-10

And the LORD thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the LORD will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers: If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, [and] if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul. Reflection As we devote our lives to serve God, He blesses the fruit of our labours with great delight and pleasure. Just as He rejoices to bless us, so also Christians should desire to serve Him. This unfathomable pleasure in serving is solely founded on the Word of God and living in accordance to it. When we follow His commands with all our heart, soul, and mind, God prospers our way over an abundance.

When Fearful Don't Forget God

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. (Psalm 27:1-3)

Isaiah 28:9–16

A Sure Foundaton From single-dwelling homes to skyscrapers, the foundation is a key part of every structure. In order for a foundation to give the right support, its design and composition must be congruent with the type of bedrock on which it rests and environmental forces the building might be subjected to, such as earthquakes or hurricanes. More important than a building’s foundation is that of our faith. Just as surely as buildings will encounter the forces of nature, so will our faith be assaulted by Satan. But our loving Heavenly Father has provided us with a foundation that will withstand all the fiery darts of the enemy of our soul. See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation, the one who trusts will never be dismayed (Isaiah 28:16). This sure foundation is not made of concrete. Our foundation is Jesus Christ (1 Peter 2:4). When one places his trust in Jesus as Savior, Shepherd, Counselor, Healer, and King of kings and Lord of lords,
