Great is the Lord

I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever. Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever. Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. (Psalm 145:1-3)

God Is Good

For the LORD is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations.~Psalm 100:5

Press On

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.~Philippians 3:13-14

In His Presence Is Fullness Of Joy

You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11

We Are God's Children

For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father." The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs -- heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. (Romans 8:15-17)

Jesus Is The Way The Truth and The Life

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.~John 14:6 (KJV)

The Spirit Of Sonship

For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father." The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs -- heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. (Romans 8:15-17)

My Hope Is In The Lord

“Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”~Philippians 3:13-14

It Is Finished

It is finished! Finished was Satan's stronghold on humanity. Finished was our salvation. It is completed. It is done. All of our sins were transferred to Jesus when He hung on the cross. His righteousness was transferred to our account. So when Jesus cried out the words, "It is finished!" It was God's deliberate and well-thought-out plan...It is finished—so Rejoice! "O death, where is thy victory?  O death, where is thy sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.  But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." (1 Cor. 15:55-57)

Don't Be Afraid Or Discouraged

Rise UP! (Ezra 10:4) David's victory was not because he fought well, but because he believed well, and He loved God above all.... David saw an opportunity and he seized it with courage and trust in God. The future belongs to those have the courage to ask, "What needs to be done," and the faith to hang on until they discover the answer. When the obstacles look to big and opposition seems too strong, stand on the promise: "Do not be afraid or discourage…for there is greater power with us than with him." 2 Chronocles 32:7

God Knows You

Psalm 139:1 1 O LORD, you have searched me and you know me. (NIV Bible) God knows you. Even if you don't know him, he knows everything about you. He knows how you were made, why you were made, and why you do the things you do. He created you and fashioned you in His extravagant love for His eternal purposes. If a car mechanic can recite in great detail, the purpose of every part in a re-built engine, how much more is the Creator of the heavens and the earth able to recite every characteristic of His beloved children. He knows every bump, every bruise, and every failure. He knows every fear, every inadequacy, and every one of our dreams. He knows us through and through, yet He still loves us unconditionally. The thought of such intimacy with God causes many of us to cringe in fear. How could God know me as I really am, yet still love me? Shame caused Adam and Eve to run from the presence of their all knowing, all seeing Father. But God does not want us to run from Him, bu

Finding Joy In Trials

Everyone faces many trials; however, these trials are not in vain. God uses them to do a work in us, developing us into mature Christians. In James 1:2-4, we are told, Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. In other words, God uses the tough times in life to sharpen us, making us mature and complete Christians. Furthermore, God will not permit you to remain in the same trials all of your life; in His proper timing He will deliver you. Psalm 34:17 says, The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. So don't run from your trials, because the testing of your faith develops you into a mature and complete Christian.

The Word Of God Stands Forever

The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever.~Isaiah 40:8

Come Near To God

Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. ( James 4:8 )

The Fellowship of The Unashamed

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ; for it is the power of GOD unto Salvation to ever one that believeth... Romans 1:16. What does it mean to follow Jesus? The  words, penned by Dr. Robert Morehead, have inspired many to reach beyond medocracy in their Christian walk. I’m part of the fellowship of the unashamed. The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I’m a disciple of His. I won’t look back, let up, slow down, back away or be still. My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, my future is secure. I’m finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, mundane talking, cheap living and dwarfed goals. I no longer need preeminence, prosperity, position, promotion, plaudits, or popularity. I don’t have to be right, first, tops, recognized, praised, regarded, or rewarded. I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk by patience, lift by prayer, and labor by powe

Abide In Me

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.~ John 15:4 Communion with Christ is a certain cure for every ill. Whether it be the wormwood of woe, or the cloying surfeit of earthly delight, close fellowship with the Lord Jesus will take bitterness from the one, and satiety from the other. Live near to Jesus, Christian, and it is a matter of secondary importance whether thou livest on the mountain of honour or in the valley of humiliation. Living near to Jesus, thou art covered with the wings of God, and underneath thee are the everlasting arms. Let nothing keep thee from that hallowed intercourse, which is the choice privilege of a soul wedded to THE WELL BELOVED. Be not content with an interview now and then, but seek always to retain his company, for only in his presence hast thou either comfort or safety. Jesus should not be unto us a friend who calls upon us now and then, but o

When I Am Weak Then I am Strong

But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:9-10)

Wait On The Lord

Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.~Isaiah 40:31

STILL HE WALKED

He knew each of the faces so well. He had created them. He knew every smile, laugh, and shed tear, but now they were contorted with rage and anger... His heart broke, but still He walked. Was He scared? You and I would have been. So His humanness would have mandated that He was. He felt alone. His disciples had left, denied, and even betrayed Him. He searched the crowd for a loving face and He saw very few. Then He turned His eyes to the only One that mattered and He knew that He would never be alone. He looked back at the crowd, at the people who were spitting at Him, throwing rocks at Him and mocking Him and He knew that because of Him, they would never be alone. So for them, He walked. The sounds of the hammer striking the spikes echoed through the crowd. The sounds of His cries echoed even louder, The cheers of the crowd, as His hands and feet were nailed to the cross, intensified with each blow. Loudest of all was the still small voice insid

As A Mother Comforts Her Child

Isaiah 66: 12-14 For this is what the LORD says I will extend peace to her like a river, and the wealth of nations like a flooding stream; you will nurse and be carried on her arm and dandled on her knees. As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem. When you see this, your heart will rejoice and you will flourish like grass; the hand of the LORD will be made known to his servants, but his fury will be shown to his foes.

2 Peter 1:5-8

For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. ~ 2 Peter 1:5-8

Jesus Wept

Jesus Wept (John 11:35). Yes, Jesus wept. The Bible tells us he cried with loud cries and tears in prayer (Hebrews 5:7). He wept over his beloved city, Jerusalem (Matthew 23:37). One of his most famous and strengthening teachings is found in the famous Beatitudes. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted" (Matthew 5:4).

Not By Might Nor By Power

This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘ Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the LORD of hosts. ~Zechariah 4:6 The prophet's spirit was willing to attend, but the flesh was weak. We should beg of God that, whenever he speaks to us, he would awaken us, and we should then stir up ourselves. The church is a golden candlestick, or lamp-bearer, set up for enlightening this dark world, and holding forth the light of Divine revelation. Two olive trees were seen, one on each side the candlestick, from which oil flowed into the bowl without ceasing. God brings to pass his gracious purposes concerning his church, without any art or labour of man; sometimes he makes use of his instruments, yet he needs them not. This represented the abundance of Divine grace, for the enlightening and making holy the ministers and members of the church, and which cannot be procured or prevented by any human power. The vision assures us that the good work of building the temple, s

The Armor Of God

Standing means you are not giving up and you won't run away or surrender the fight. You may have no weapons left but you are not going to leave the field. Have you done ALL? Then STAND. "Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."(Ephesians 6:13)

The Greatest Of These Is Love

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. - Matthew 22:37-40

A Prayer for the Discouraged

As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God? My tears have been my food day and night, while they say to me all the day long, “Where is your God?” Ps. 42:1–3 Gracious Father, your Word gives voice to every season, circumstance, and emotion we experience in the journey to gospel wholeness. In our delight and in our despair, in our certainty and in our frailty; in our cheers and in our fears—and in everything in between, you are with us and you are for us. You don’t love us more when we have a dancing heart. You don’t love us less when we have a doubting heart. Delightful circumstances don’t mean we’ve done everything right and hard providences don’t mean we’ve done something wrong. Indeed, with kindness you drew us, and with an everlasting, unwavering love, you hold us—no matter what. Today we bring our discouraged, weary, deeply hurting friends to you, Lord. For y

God Is Faithful!

Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; He is the faithful God, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commands. (Deuteronomy 7:9)

Comfort Me Once More

“Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. You will increase my honor and comfort me once more.” — Psalm 71:20-21
