Psalm 138:8

Psalm 138:8a says,   "The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever." (NKJV) God has great plans for our lives, and we need to remember that we are not destined to be quitters, no matter how difficult the task might be that is set before us. God will not forsake us. If everything in life were easy then we would not see the importance of being stretched. We need to see that when difficulties arise, we must rely on God and not ourselves. It’s time to move to a new place and acquire a new way of thinking. The Lord is making a way in your situation and it is on your behalf. He is perfecting everything that concerns you. Let your mind camp out in God’s word, and put on the mind of Christ.

God’s Thoughts

The Bible is unique, because in it we see God Himself speaking to humanity. In Isaiah 55, the prophet says, "Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near." Then God Himself speaks to humanity: "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord." In the Old Testament, God spoke to us through the prophets. In the New Testament, He spoke to us through His Son. And never did God speak so clearly as at the cross. In it, He expressed His great love for humanity. In it, He provided salvation for a lost and dying world. Now we can tell this world to seek the Lord while He may be found. Now we can tell them that through the new birth, God's thoughts can be our thoughts, and His ways can be our ways. There goes another minute. Gone forever. Go share your faith while you still have time. 

Happiness Is...

Just as there is only one truth, there also is only one happiness. True happiness comes from a warm relationship with God. Abraham, Noah, Daniel and a host of other people have had this true happiness in the past. What is true happiness? Happiness is: * Finding the true purpose for your existence (Eph. 2:10). * Knowing God's Will and then performing it daily in your life (Matt. 6:10; 7:21; Luke 8:21; 1 John 2:17; 1 Peter 2:15; 4:2, 6; Col. 1:10). * Having the attitude of a servant toward others at all times as Jesus Christ, our Savior and example, did (Rom. 15:2-3; 1 Cor. 10:24; Matt. 20:26-28; 23:11). * Having the knowledge of the truth - God's word - and being set free from all religious deception, with its satanic tentacles that grip the earth (John 8:31-32; Rev. 12:9). * Being set free from all pagan religious traditions of men that make the worship of Jesus Christ in vain (Mark 7:7). * Receiving answered prayer because you are constantly doing God's Wi

Matthew 25:21

"His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'" We want it all now! We don't want to have to wait for anything. But God has a principle that is absolutely vital: we will be entrusted with much only after we have been faithful with a little. So let's not discount those moral choices about "small and inconsequential matters." How we handle these reveals who we are and helps determine what we become.

Do not say, "I’ll pay you back for this wrong!" Wait for the LORD, and he will deliver you. Thoughts on Today's Verse Vengeance is an awful and painful way to respond to those who we feel have wronged us. The LORD is our assurance of just rewards. Leave it to him. Escalating vindictiveness only leads to broken people and to broken lives. Worse yet, it leads to broken character. My Prayer Through your Spirit, Abba Father, please empower me to be patient for you to right injustices committed against me. Please help me to be more concerned about the salvation of those who may have wronged me than I am about getting even. Please give me more of a heart like your Son, Jesus, in whose name I pray. Amen.

Condemnation

Satan wants you to feel condemned in your life. He wants you to feel unworthy. He wants you to be overcome with feelings of guilt and despair. He wants you to give up and say, "What’s the use. I can’t do it, it’s too hard. I can’t be the kind of person I want to be. I don’t have time to do it. I can’t be someone I’m not." When we say these things, we give in to our human nature and we are held captive by Satan to do his will (2 Tim. 2:26). Satan’s will is full of excuses so we can justify our bad behavior all day long. God wants us to overcome Satan’s sick will in our human nature (Eph. 2:3). He wants us to replace it with His Will (Matt. 6:10). He wants us to do the same Will Jesus did and overcome just as Jesus did (John 4:34; 6:38; 16:33). In fact, one of the reasons Jesus Christ came to this earth was to show us how to overcome our old fleshly wills by practicing only the Father’s Will in our daily lives (1 John 3:7, 10). Is There Only One Way?

  A great many people today believe there are many roads leading to salvation. They will argue, "What makes you think your way is right? My way is just as good as your way." How can people be expected to think any differently when there are thousands of religions with different views on the same subject? Is there only one way that leads to salvation? What does God’s word say? The Lord says the gate is small and the way is narrow, and there are very few people who find it (Matt. 7:14). We must enter by that narrow door, which means we must live as Jesus gave us example to live, to find eternal life. Anyone who climbs up some other way is like a thief and a robber (John 10:1). Jesus boldly proclaims that He is the door (John 10:9). God’s word says there is only one body, one Spirit, one Lord, one faith and one baptism (Eph. 4:4-5). Lamentations 3:22-23

Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. No matter the struggles, challenges and obstacles you have in your life, wake up every morning and know that each day is a new opportunity to bask in His love and compassion, like the sun. No matter your circumstances, His love is there, never failing, new every morning.

Getting into Heaven is not about what you've done; it's about what God's done.

You have probably encountered a few people who hoped that they would get into Heaven because they have lived a good life. Indeed, there are many people in the world who think that all the right things they do will get them into Heaven. However, Paul knew that "There is no one righteous, not even one" (Romans 3:10). Fortunately, God loved us so much that He provided an answer: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Furthermore, 1 Peter 3:18 tells us that "Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God." Therefore, it is no wonder Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). Notice that nothing in any of those verses refers to our ability to reach Heaven. That's because it is impossible for us to reach Heaven on our own strength. R

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

Ezekiel 38:23

And so I will show my greatness and my holiness, and I will make myself known in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am the LORD. They will know that I am the LORD is a familiar refrain in Ezekiel's prophecies. Here it is also a horrifying one to his people who have been rebellious, sinful, and wicked. God is holy. The people who claim him as their God had better reflect that glory and greatness. They had better magnify God's holiness. If they do not, God will do so even at their expense. God will be known as God. In a day when so many profane the name of God and use it so glibly in their reactions and frustration, this is a sobering reminder that even the name of God is holy. He will show his greatness and holiness.

Luke 18:1-8

Then Jesus told them a parable about their need to pray always and not to lose heart. He said, ‘In a certain city there was a judge who neither feared God nor had respect for people. In that city there was a widow who kept coming to him and saying, “Grant me justice against my opponent.” For a while he refused; but later he said to himself, “Though I have no fear of God and no respect for anyone, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will grant her justice, so that she may not wear me out by continually coming.” ’ And the Lord said, ‘Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God grant justice to his chosen ones who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long in helping them? I tell you, he will quickly grant justice to them. And yet, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?’ What do you think Jesus meant by this and do you think He will find faith on earth when He returns?

Galatians 5:1

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Grace and freedom are not a license to sin (Jude 4). In fact, sin enslaves us; sin is addictive (John 8:34). As those for whom the old person of sin has died and been buried with Jesus in baptism, we are not to let sin reign over us or become our master because we have been liberated by grace (Rom. 6:1-14). So let's seek the power of the Holy Spirit to cleanse us (Heb. 9:14) and powerfully liberate us from sin (Rom. 8:10-15). Let's use our freedom to bless and build others up. Let's use our freedom to offer our hearts and lives to the work of God!

2 Chronicles 7:14

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." Prayer Loving Father, earnestly I seek your presence now. Please forgive me for my sin. Please use me to be an influence for good in my time. Most of all, Father, please move to bring revival and healing to our time, our people, and our land. We desperately need your guidance, blessing, and character in our government and among our people. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

John 13:34-35

"I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."
